Podalakuru: Likening the lunar eclipse to the blocking of development in the state by Chandrababu Naidu governance which is laden with corruption and ill-placed priorities, YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that his Party would make agriculture as a profitable vocation and reserve 75 % jobs to locals in all industries.

Addressing a mammoth public meeting as part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra here on Wednesday, the Leader of Opposition said, Chadnrababu Naidu has been making a mockery of parliamentary democracy by skipping the Republic Day function, staying in a house built on encroached land, encouraging occult at Kanakadurga temple besides taking the President Ramnath Kovind in a boat with no licence and creating a stampede at Godavari Pushkarams, which claimed 29 lives.

After audio visual evidence has come out about his role in the cash for vote scam, he turns silent and lost voice to bargain with the Centre and he has gone back on all promises. From loan waiver to unemployment stipend, he did not fulfil any of the poll promises. The Special Category Status (SCS) and special package were given a silent burial, he said.

On irrigation front, even local projects on which 80 % of work was completed by Dr YS Rajsekhara Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu could not take them to a logical conclusion. The fishing harbour which was to benefit the locals did not take off.

Krishnapatnam Port was dillydallied by Chandrababu Naidu during his earlier nine year term and only after Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy had come to power did things move and now locals are not being benefitted from it.

When our government comes to power, we will ensure that 75 % jobs would be reserved for locals and a resolution would be passed in the first assembly itself, he said.

When our government comes to power with your blessings we will make agriculture as a profitable venture by setting up Rs 3,000 crore Market Stabilisation Fund to ensure MSP to farmers and give an advance Rs 12,500 per annum in the month of May for sowing operations besides providing nine hour free power during day times which will reduce the input costs.

Farmers would also be getting interest free bank loans and Rs 4,000 crore Calamity Fund would be set up to help farmers during the times of natural calamities like floods and drought, he said.
