AP gets nothing on Polavaram, but TDP remains silent!

The last full budget of the NDA has also given a zilch for the state of Andhra Pradesh. The TDP, which is in alliance with the BJP, has failed to get any special project for Andhra Pradesh. The assurances made in the AP Reorganisation Act have remained unfulfilled and the Centre has not allocated anything for the state. There is no mention of Polavaram anywhere in the budget.

The Rs 21.51 lakh crore budget has nothing for both the Telugu states. There are no allocations for the capital construction, no mention of the support to adjust the fiscal deficit nor about the fianance commission funds. NO mention of Kadapa steel plant either.

While Jaitley was giving a shortshrift for Andhra Pradesh, the MPs from the TDP remained motionless and expression-less. They did not even raise an objection and remained silent even when the Centre has completely set aside the demands for R and R allocations for Polavaram oustees.
