Music director Rahman offers prayers at Pedda Dargah

Kadapa: The Urs celebrations began with fervour at the Ameen Peer Dargah, popularly known as Pedda Dargah, here on Wednesday. More than 5 lakh devotees from Telugu and neighbouring states are expected to attend the seven-day event.

Popular music director A R Rahman along with his family members has visited the Pedda Dargah and offered floral chaaddhar and prayers. Speaking on the occasion, Rahman said he feels fortunate for participating in the Urs celebrations. About 150 cops led by city DSP S K Masum Basha are deployed for preventing untoward incidents.
