Rail budget should reflect aspirations of Rayalaseema
Anantapur: CPM district secretary V Rambhupal has demanded the union government to release more budget for the district for railway projects in its Railway budget. Addressing a press conference at the party office here on Wednesday, Rambhupal said that every time the Railway budget is giving a raw deal to Rayalaseema and the district.
The union government is dilly dallying on the issue of announcing the railway zone for AP. The party is demanding that Guntakal be declared a railway zone. The party will have no objection even if Visakhapatnam or Vijayawada is chosen for the same.
He regretted that none of the projects announced under the 2014 AP Reorganisation Act have been executed so far. He said that the government also miserably failed to ensure remunerative price to any of the agriculture produce.
