105 women find placements in job mela

Vijayawada: As many as 105 women secured placements during the job mela organised by Pradhana Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana Centre on the premises of Sri Vaishnavi Fashion Technologies here on Saturday. Institutions like RR Garments, SV Sports, Praneeta Embroidery and Tailoring, Sri Gayatri Garments and GVR Insurance Brokers participated in the placement drive.  

RR Garments recruited 38 women and Praneeta Embroidery took 30 women while Sri Gayatri Garments and SV Sports employed 15 and 17 women respectively. 

 GVR Insurance Brokers selected five candidates for employment in their company. Noted chartered accountant M Phani Kumar, Ch Chaitanya Kishore and former MRO MVV Satyanarayana attended the programme, according to PV Raghuveer, head of Sri Vaishnavi Fashion Technologies.
