Two nabbed for robbing lovers of gold, cash
Kurnool: Two unidentified persons robbed gold and cash from lovers at a deserted place in Mahanandi in the district on Friday and fled the scene. The victims lodged a complaint with the Mahanandi police. The police, after registering the case, nabbed the miscreants and recovered the gold and cash.
Sub-Inspector G Peddaaiah Naidu, speaking to the media, said that the two lovers, residing in Chagalamarri, have come down to Mahanandi to have the darshan of Lord Nandeeshwara. After having darshan, they wanted to enjoy themselves in the sylvan surroundings.
When the couple entered a deserted place in the forest area, two unidentified persons threatened them and robbed cash of Rs 15,000, a set of golden rings and silver anklets, the SI stated.
