Loan melas for BC groups soon

 Anantapur: AP Vaddera Federation Managing Director Mallikharjuna has stated that the federation will be holding regional loan melas for the BC communities at Tirupati, Visakhapatnam and Amaravati shortly to reach out financially unto the BC communities for purchasing tool kits for carrying on with their trades.

Addressing a press conference after participating in an awareness camp at the B C Study Circle premises here on Saturday, Mallikharjuna said that under the Adarana-2 scheme Rs 30 lakh is being given for a group unit with a 50 per cent subsidy. During the past three years, 216 societies were disbursed Rs 71 crore benefitting 2,791 beneficiaries.

In 2016-17, Rs 14.28 crore were given to 170 beneficiaries in 13 districts of the state. The federation was given Rs 1,000 crore budget targeting 2.5 lakh beneficiaries for the entire state. 

For the 2017-18 fiscal, Rs 25 crore had been allocated for the year. 
So far, 97 societies benefitting 610 beneficiaries have been given Rs 5 crore. BC Corporation Executive Director Nagamani and Deputy Director Rama Bhargavi were present.
