ONGC, RMC to clean up bathing ghats

Rajamahendravaram: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in association with Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) started the task of cleaning up all bathing ghats in the city. They would cover a distance of 7-km from Kotilingala Ghat to Ramapadalarevu Ghat in the city. ONGC is using high pressure pumps to clean the ghats and per minute the pumps use 5,000 gallons of water to clean the ghats.

Earlier on Saturday, the ONGC team went round the ghats on a speed boat in River Godavari. ONGC donated a sum of Rs 19 lakh for Namma toilets and Rs 47 lakh for purchasing cleaning equipment.
