Vincent De-Paul High School emerges as hockey champ

Anantapur: Girls team of Vincent De-Paul High School has emerged as winner and Talupur High School team as a runner at the district-level Hockey League organised by Rural Development Trust at the RDT stadium here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, RDO Mallala, who participated as the guest of honour, said that sports make a person joyful and nothing can be compared with what sports give to a person. 

He said that just as goal in hockey is crucial, goal in life too is paramount. He lauded RDT as a selfless service organisation that is bringing recognition to the city as sports city. 

Former Vice-Chancellor Rama Krishna Reddy said that he would contribute his mite for the development of sports in the city. He observed that RDT is striving to remove the drought tag and replace it with sports tag for the city. Saptagiri Camphor vice-chairman Haneesh commended RDT for its role in development of the city.
