Awareness drive on entrepreneurship development held
Vijayawada: An awareness programme on entrepreneurship development was jointly organised on January 31 by III year BTech, MCA and MBA students of Lakkireddy Balireddy Engineering College and Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation, with Prof Greg Kolier, Director, International Programme for Entrepreneurship Development, North Eastern University, USA, and Prof Krish Nangigadda, Adviser, International Programme for Entrepreneurship Development, as the chief guests.
Prof Greg Kolier observed that students should realise that they can become entrepreneurs and not only have the objective of securing employment. There were many opportunities for this across the world. The International Institute of Entrepreneurship and Development would serve as the platform for this.
Prof. Nangigadda stated that institute would of immense help to students in giving a shape to their thought process. He said these ideas could be given a clear shape by adopting the Entrepreneur Skills New Idea Set Go Launching System. The institute would provide the basic facilities to students.
College Principal Dr K Appa Rao advised students to adopt entrepreneurship skills along with becoming up-to-date on ever-changing S&T know-how. ‘You should take advantage of the available opportunities across the world’, he stated.
President of the college G Srinivas Reddy assured that the college would provide all facilities to i2E Venture Development Centre. Among those present were College Skill Development Centre Coordinator Dr K S M V Kumar, EDC Cell Coordinator Dr A Narendra Babu, Dr. T Rajasekhar, heads of various departments, faculty.
