Civic bodies asked to accord building permissions within 10 days

Rajamahendravaram: The Government has issued a GO with number 49 fixing time frame to sanction permissions to various constructions pertaining to municipalities, municipal corporations and urban development authoritiesin the state.

According to sources, as per the order respective authorities should accord permission within ten days after receiving the applications from the applicants.If the officials fail to accord permissionwithin the specified time period, it will be treated that permission was granted to the applicants.

The occupancy certificate should be given in 10 days and powers were given to concerned city and town planning officials. Theapplicants should construct their buildings as per the specifications submitted by them through online and they will be held responsible if there are any lapses in the construction.

Respective town planning officer accords permission for the constructions below 100 sqmetres; assistant city planner will give permissions for houses between 100 sqmetres to 200 sqmetres; deputy city planner will accord permissions for houses between 200 sqmetres to 300 sqmetres; city planner will give permissions to houses between 300 sqmts to 500 sqmtsand chief city planner will accord permissions for constructions from 500 sqmetres to 1,000 sqmetres.  In corporations, municipal commissioner gives permissions from 1000 sqmetres to 4,000 sqmetres.
