Man who kidnapped girl arrested

Srikakulam: Police unravelled the mystery behind the kidnap of a six-year-old girl Gandi Saranya. It may be noted that girl was kidnapped but traced by police within 24 hours. Superintendent of Police Dr CM Trivikrama Varma produced the accused Lankapalli Suresh before the media here on Sunday. 

Addressing the media, he said grandmother of the girl Gandi Parvathi had resolved a dispute between the accused and his wife, and in the process, she reportedly had reprimanded the accused as he had an extramarital affair with a woman. 

With that incident, he bore a grudge against the family and kidnapped the girl from the school two days ago. Later, he made a call to the kin of the girl and asked them to reunite his paramour with his him. In turn, the family members of girl informed the police.

Therefore, police tracked his location and arrested the accused at Nakkapalli toll gate in Visakhapatnam district on Saturday and he was produced before the media on Sunday. Police registered a case against the accused.
