Mystery shrouds woman’s death

Visakhapatnam: A woman died under suspicious circumstances at Gajuwaka here on Sunday. However, the relatives of the woman alleged that husband killed her and lodged a complaint with Gajuwaka police station. According to police, P Raju, a resident of  Buchayyapeta, LB Puram village in Chodavaram mandal area,  married Sandhya in last October and couple are residing in the city.

On Sunday morning, Raju had called Sandhya parents with his wife’s mobile and informed them that Sandhya committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan. However, not waiting for the arrival of the in-laws, Raju, along with his sister Nagamani, took the body to their native place LB Puram.

After identifying injuries on the body, relatives alleged that Raju killed her and playing suicide drama and informed the Buchayyapeta police. In turn, police registered a case and informed Gajuwaka police. Later, Raju was taken into custody and the body was sent for post-mortem. Further investigation is on.
