TDP MPs stage protest in Parliament against Union Budget

 Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Members of Parliament (MPs) including TG Venkatesh staged a protest in front of Gandhi Statue in Parliament House in New Delhi while raising slogans and holding placards to save Andhra Pradesh by doing justice. 

Demanding the Centre to fulfil the promises made as per Andhra Pradesh (AP) State Reorganisation Act including allocation of budgets to AP capital, Amaravati Metro Project, Visakha Railway Zone and Polavaram Project, the TDP MPs said that they have already notified Rajya Sabha about this and would also stall proceedings in Lok Sabha by standing in protest.

Union Ministers P Ashoka Gajapati Raju and Sujana Chowdary were not seen participating in the demonstration.

Following the protests, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned. 

Speaking in this regard, Thota Narasimhulu said MPs are reflecting the sentiments of the five crores Andhra people in parliament through their protests while MP Narayana Rao said they are demanding the release of funds to the state immediately as assured by the Centre.
