Adopt latest technologies to prevent crime, cops told
Kadapa: Kurnool Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) G Srinivas has instructed the cops to adopt latest technologies for preventing crimes as the culprits are following innovative methods.
Speaking after inauguration of the command & control room at Proddatur on Monday, the DIG said that it has become difficult for cops to investigate the cases and nabbed the culprits as the accused have been adopting novel methods to commit crimes.
To avoid burglaries in locked houses, the Police department had introduced the Locked House Monitoring System (LHMS), the DIG said. Srinivas advised the people to download LHMS app and register their details so that they can inform local cops whenever they are leaving outstation. He said 66 CCTV cameras were installed in Proddatur with the financial support of local philanthropists.
The DIG stated command & control rooms will be set up in all important police stations across the district in a phased manner. On the occasion, the DIG flagged off bike rally of Blue Clots wing. District Superintendent of Police (SP) Attada Babujee and other police officials were present.
