JEO for transforming Srivari Sevakulu into professionals

Tirumala: To enhance the quality of service among Srivari Sevakulu, Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju directed the officials concerned to identify the best service-oriented Srivari Sevakulu and transform them into a professional unit.

The weekly review meeting with senior officers of TTD with Tirumala JEO was held at Annamayya Bhavan here on Tuesday. While reviewing the progress of department wise activities, the JEO instructed the PRO and Srivari Seva Head Dr T Ravi to identify the best among Srivari Sevakulu to offer better services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims coming to Tirumala.

“The strength of sevakulu should not exceed 2,000. We want quality service but not quantity of volunteers. These 2,000 sevakulu should offer best possible services to pilgrims,” he added. The JEO also said, the Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) counters will commence both at Tirumala and Tirupati from second fortnight of March.

In Tirumala, the counters will be set up at RTC Bus Stand, CRO back side near Koustubham, Nandakam Rest House, Varahaswamy Rest House and Srivari Mettu point.

In Tirupati, 22 counters are coming up at Vishnunivasam, 8 at II and III Chowltries, 10 at southern side of subway near RTC, 5 at Srinivasam and 10 at Bhudevi Complex,” he added. The JEO also directed the engineering officials to modify all sub enquiry offices as allotment counters and rationalise the deployment of attenders towards the smooth run of the rooms allotment. 

After the review meeting, Sreenivasa Raju inspected the SSD model counter at Nandakam. He has also inspected the compartment No. 26 in VQC 1 to see the arrangement while releasing the compartment to ensure that pilgrims are not put to any sort of inconvenience. Later, the JEO also inspected the SSD counters which are come up at RTC bus stand.
