Kiran Kumar, Botcha in voters’ list at Maruteru

Eluru: Former chief minister of United Andhra Pradesh Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy has got a vote in Achanta Assembly constituency, now represented by Andhra Pradesh Minister for Labour Pithani Satyanarayana. This came to light when the former Sarpanch of Maruteru village in Penumantra mandal found the name in the voters’ list of his village.

Kiran Kumar Reddy, who was the last Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, had his name in the electoral rolls of Maruteru and the officials registered his name in the 104th polling station in GunnamCheruvu area of the village.

The former Chief Minister was already a voter of PileruAssembly segment in Chittoor district. After the name of the former chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, the electoral enrolment officials entered the name of former minister and YSRCP state leader Botsa Satyanarayana also. His name was in the 3rd one in the list of 104th Polling Station in Maruteruvillage.

The former sarpanch of Maruteru Karri VenuBabu said that he was found these two names in the voters’ list when verifying the list. He stated that over the last one year the names of former chief minister and former minister were listed in the electoral rolls of the 104th polling station in the village.  He has brought the issue to the officials notice immediately after seeing the list.

The Tahsildar of PenumantraPoduriVenkatraohas said that the revision of electoral rolls is going on and the verification would be taken up in March first week.
