One killed, 2 hurt in clash between two families

Gurazala: One person was killed and two  others were injured in the clash between two families at Jangameswarapuram village under Gurazala mandal of Guntur district late on Sunday night. 

According to police, Koganti Nagireddy, his sons Srinivasa Reddy and Veera Reddy attacked Polu Chenna Reddy, Srinivasa Reddty and Pulla Reddy with sticks and pestles and seriously injured them. 

Srinivasa Reddy who was seriously injured, died while being shifted to the GGH for treatment. Pulla Reddy and Chenna Reddy sustained severe injuries. The injured have been shifted to the GGH for treatment.

A petty issue turned serious which led to clash between the two families.  SP Prasad and CI Rama Rao rushed to the spot and inquired about the situation. They took the accused into custody and began investigation. They set up pickets at the village as a precautionary measure.  

Man missing in the river: Meanwhile, one person who went to Krishna river for  bath went missing in the river at Ambadipudi  village under Achampet mandal of Guntur district.

According to police, Peddaganti Sambaiah (45), came to his relatives  house  at Ambadipudi  village. He went to Krishna river to take a holy dip. As soon as he went into the river, he fell down and went missing.
