CM busy chalking out election strategies: Jagan

Nellore: YSR Congress President Jaganmohan Reddy suggested to the people to accept Rs 3,000 from TDP leaders who offer the money for their votes. He addressed a meeting at Sangam mandal headquarters on Tuesday as part of his ongoing Praja Sankala Yatra and said people can accept the money and teach TDP leaders a lesson in the coming elections.

“The amount they offer is yours. Take the cash and teach the ruling party leaders a lesson when they come to you for votes. The corrupt and polluted political system has to be changed where there is a meaning for credibility and honesty. If people lose their confidence on a leader he or she should quit the position. You all support me for bringing such a wonderful and truthful democracy,” said the YSR Congress chief. 

Jagan criticised the TDP for ignoring the drinking water and irrigation needs in upland region in Nellore. He pointed out that completion of 5 reservoirs has been ignored. 

He said people in Atmakuru, Vinjamuru, Kaligiri and other mandals were facing difficulties due to lack of water for drinking and irrigation purposes. Jagan said modernisation of Penna delta works started 4 years ago and still they are unfinished. 

Now, the Chief Minister is busy with election strategies and other issues rather than focusing on problems of the people. He assured that the YSRCP would form Price Stabilisation Fund with Rs 3,000 crore and Rs. 4,000 crore for Disaster Mitigation Fund for supporting the farmers during natural calamities and unforeseen weather vagaries.

He also assured 9-hour power supply during day time and crop loans to the farmers on time. Further, members of the Simhapuri Gold Smith Cooperative Society submitted a petition to Jaganmohan Reddy and explained their grievances. They explained about the problems faced by the goldsmiths and their insecurity. They said the CFC centres posed a threat to the livelihood of 10,000 goldsmiths.
