CPM stages protest at Capital Region Development Authority office 

Vijayawada: The leaders of CPM staged a protest at Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) office here on Tuesday  opposing the illegal land transactions.

CPM Rajadhani Committee convener Ch Babu Rao said that the officials of CRDA were selling the government lands illegally by showing the private lands in the name of various benamies.

He asked the government to probe into the transactions and take action against the officials. He said the officials have been practising such kind of illegal transactions in lands allotment.

The lands of BCs, SCs, STs were also manipulated by CRDA officials and finally those were sold to politicians and businessmen. He said that the officials were involved in illegal land deals in the capital lands.

The CPM leaders met CRDA Commissioner Ch Sridhar and submitted the representation. On the occasion, he assured them that they would file criminal cases, if any officials were involved in any illegal land issues. CPM leaders D Vishnuvardhan and Ravi were also present.
