Detailed Project Report submitted for Amaravati: Narayana
Amaravati: Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development P Narayana has said that the state government submitted Detailed Project Report (DPR) to the Centre requesting for grant of Rs 11,600 crore for capital city construction.
Speaking to reporters at Secretariat here on Thursday, Narayana said there was no fact in the criticism of BJP leaders who said the Centre had given funds to capital city construction even as the DPR was not submitted by the state government.
“We submitted a DPR for a grant of Rs 11,600 crore for capital city construction. Besides, we submitted utilisation certificates for the amount of Rs 1,500 crore which was released by the Centre for capital city,” he explained. He also wanted the BJP leaders to know facts before they criticise the state government.
He lambasted YSR Congress party MP Vijay Sai Reddy for trying to stop TDP MP Sujana Chowdary’s speech in Rajya Sabha. “They (YSR Congress) say the party is fighting to protect the interests of AP while they are trying to object TDP MPs in the Parliament. It shows the double standards of the YSRC,” he said.
He said the TDP was fighting in Parliament though it was alliance partner of NDA government. “TDP will continue its fight for people of Andhra Pradesh until the Centre do justice for state,” he said.
