He also said they would provide an assistance of Rs 1 lakh to each family having a girl child towards her marriage as part of Dulhan Scheme. He said they would take care of reconstructing or renovating mosques and churches along with Hindu temples.

Jagan flayed Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for not listening to their suggestion of paying Rs 1,100 cr to the victims of AgriGold. He said they would take over properties of the company and do justice to the people. He assured that village secretariats would be set up to ensure that all welfare schemes are implemented to Minorities besides giving employment to locals.

He said it was sad to note that 32 pc of the people are not literates in the State as per the 2011 Census and education would be taken up on a priority basis. All professional courses would be entitled for fee reimbursement and under Amma Vodi scheme, the mother would get money for sending her two children to schools which would improve the standard of living.

Further, the YSR Congress chief criticised the Chief Minister for trying to blame the Centre even though he had committed many mistakes. He also said Chandrababu forgot problems of minorities after elections.

He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu has been playing hide-and-seek with minorities as he ignores Muslims when he wants to get closer to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and appeases them when he wants to stay away from the BJP.

“You were giving lectures for hours together earlier and what happened to you not commenting anything against the Union government after the budget. People were coming to know reactions of the CM only through his henchmen giving media leaks. Why you are hiding failing to show your face?” the Opposition leader asked the Chief Minister.

He said there was no integrity and honesty in the activities of the Chief Minister who has been maintaining double standards on all issues. Jagan pointed out that once the Chief Minister had said that Special Category Status to the State wass essential like Sanjeevani and wondered what had changed his mindset now and as he had watered down the issue.

Further, Jagan will not take part in his Padayatra on Thursday extending support to the Communist parties which had planned to organise protests demanding SCS to the State and implementation of promises made in AP Reorganisation Act. Local YSRCP leaders accompanied Jaganmohan Reddy.
