Social activism essential to achieve ODF: BRAU Vice- Chancellor

Srikakulam: Social activism among public in rural areas is essential to achieve open defecation-free (ODF) villages across the district, opined BR Ambedkar University (BRAU) Vice- Chancellor Kuna Ramji.

Addressing a gathering of public representatives belonging to local bodies at BRAU campus here on Wednesday,  he  suggested to sarpanches, MPTCs,  ZPTCs to create awareness among people in their respective villages on negative impacts of open defecation.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson Ch Dhanalakshmi sought the cooperation of local public representatives to achieve open defecation villages in the district.
