Sporadic movement of Maoists in West Godavari district

Eluru: Sporadic movement of Maoists was found in Kukunuru and Velairpadu mandals after these mandals were merged in West Godavari district from Khammam district, disclosed West Godavari District Superintendent of Police M Ravi Prakash. 

He visited Velairpadu police station in the agency area of the district on Wednesday. He inspected the station and checked the files in the station.
Later, speaking to the media, the Superintendent of Police said that in view of the movement of Maoists in these mandals, frequent combing operations are going on in the area. The police are on high alert in these mandals, he added.
