Delivering a guest lecture at the VITopia-2018 at VIT Amaravati here on Friday, he said that students should be encouraged in sports along with education.

This would keep students fit and healthy. The universities coming up in Amaravati should follow the policy, he suggested. VITopia-2018, a national level sports and cultural fiesta was organised by the VIT Amaravati from February 3 to 9.

“We expect the universities would develop new scientists here. Chandrababu Naidu has been giving priority to the sports and encouraging sports in  Andhra Pradesh to ensure that state students win in national level sports competitions.,” the Minister said.

He hoped that the VIT Amaravati will grow to international standards in a short span of time. Reacting on cases of students’ suicides, he appealed to students not to take any extreme steps for small reasons. He said students should achieve progress in different fields and set examples as role models.
