Four-day Gunadala Mary Mata fete begins today
Vijayawada: The city police are diverting the traffic in some parts of the city from February 9 to 12 while imposing a ban on the movement of vehicles from Padavalarevu junction to Gunadala Mary Mata temple on Eluru road in view of the annual Mary Mata four-day festival starting from Friday.
Vehicles passing from Ramavarappadu ring-road junction towards Chuttu gunta area will pass via ESI Hospital Road, Gangireddula Dibba, Machavaram police station, Amma Kalyana mandapam, Sunnapu Batteela Centre, Nice Bar and Pushpa Hotel Centre and finally reach the Eluru road.
Similarly, vehicles passing from Chuttugunta centre to Ramavarappadu ring-road junction will move via Nice Bar junction, Madhu Chowk, Siddhartha junction, Amma Kalyana Mandapam, Ramesh hospital, Executive Club and national highway route.
The vehicles passing from Gollapudi and Bhavanipuram areas towards Ramavarappadu ring road junction will have to pass via Errakatta, Budameru Vantena, Ajit Singh Nagar flyover, Pipula Road, IRR and Gunadala flyover.
Commissioner of Police D Gowtham Sawang, in a press note, here on Thursday, said that the traffic police department has made arrangements for the diversion of traffic and urged the people to co-operate with the police authorities.
