Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University to host youth fest from Feb 12

Tirupati: Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) Vice-Chancellor (V-C) Y Haribabu said on Thursday the 12th All India Inter-Agricultural Universities Youth Festival will be held from February 12 to 16 on the varsity campus. Addressing the media, the V-C stated that the SVVU got a chance for the first time to host national-level cultural festival. 

He mentioned students from 51 agricultural, veterinary and horticultural universities have registered their names for the cultural event. In the five-day event, the competitions will be held in dance, music, fine arts, theatre arts and literature.

To ensure fair and impartial contest among participants, 38 judges from various universities were invited, the V-C informed, adding 20 committees were formed for smooth conduct of the event. To popularise the cultural festival, the varsity took permission from the Police department to organise a massive rally with students, faculty and staff from the SVUU to NTR Circle. 

The contest will be streamed live through the social media, the V-C stated. On the occasion, a poster on cultural festival was released. Dean of Student Affairs Dr Sarjan Rao, PRO Triveni and conveners of the various working committees were also present.
