Pawan-Undavalli meet raises political heat
Kalyan and Vundavalli Arun Kumar are poles apart in their politics, perspective and approach. Naturally, when the two meet, there is bound to be great interest. On Sunday afternoon, Pawan and Vundavalli met to discuss the formation of Joint Fact-finding Committee to protect AP’s rights.
Pawan has already spoken about the JFC and has already met Lok Satta’s Jayaprakash Narayan. The JFC will study the funding-related issues between the State and the Centre. While the Modi Government is claiming that it had allocated Andhra Pradesh more than its share of funds, the State Government is arguing that none of the bifurcation-related assurances were fulfilled.
The study will find out the veracity in the Centre’s claims and the spending by the State Government. In view of the conflicting claims by both the governments on issues like Polavaram and others, the committee will try to ascertain the truth. The JFC will have financial experts, economists, former public servants, academicians, scholars and social activists. Pawan wants this to be a non-political forum and has offered to go to Rajahmundry to meet Vundavalli.
But, Vundavalli came down to Hyderabad to meet Pawan Kalyan.Hence, there is great deal of interest over the meet.
