Kadapa: Pradesh Congress Committee state vice-president N Tulasi Reddy has alleged that both ruling TDP and Opposition YSR Congress are adopting double standards over Special Category Status issue.

Speaking to media at Vempalle on Wednesday, he described resignations of YSRCP MPs announced by YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy as a political drama to draw the attention of public in Praja Sankalpa Yatra.

If Jaganmohan Reddy is really committed to Special Category Status to the state then why he fails to mount pressure on the Central government for all these years and what is necessity for him to make this announcement during his padayatra, Tulasi Reddy questioned.

He said Jagan wants to encash sympathy of public as the elections are nearing to the state.  He alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was also playing same political drama.

He also asked Chief Minister as to why he did not ask his ministers to resign from Union Cabinet to protect the interests of the state. Stating that Congress party was responsible for the bifurcation of the state, Tulasi Reddy said, however, the Congress party acted as per the wish of major political parties.
