Chinta confident of Congress victory in 2019 elections

Tirupati: Former MP Chinta Mohan observed an undercurrent prevailing in the political scenario in the state which started with a programme ‘Kapula Veedhilo Ambedkar’ held on November 16 at Kirlampudi which was further consolidated by another programme ‘Power to Poor’ in Tirupati on February 4.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, former MP reiterated his earlier statements that the communities which account for only two per cent in population were ruling the majority communities for decades together and asked that why not leaders from other communities be allowed to rule the state. “Now this, question was boggling in the minds of all sections of people particularly intelligentsia and students. Why so many people were not talking about social justice including Left parties,” he questioned.

In 2019 elections, Congress will bounce back to the power by making elections a clean sweep, he opined and a leader from Kapu community or some other representing the majority people in the society will take the reins of the state, he opined.

A leader with a clean image and honesty will become Chief Minister unlike the corrupt Chandrababu Naidu and YS Jaganmohan Reddy. They both were fighting for the Chief Minister’s chair once again and making all sorts of political gimmicks.

Chandrababu had come from a poor agricultural family and told at that time that he did not took even dowry from NT Rama Rao. Now, how he earned so many properties? questioned Chinta. He added that, Special Category Status (SCS) for the state will not be possible at least till 2019 elections. In future it may or may not come.

The decisions of YSRCP like tendering the resignations of their MPs was only a drama. “Jagan’s padayatra failed completely. They are bringing people from here and there for a show down,” Mohan observed. He was always trying to shield himself from CBI cases, he said.
