Minister says no change in APTET schedule
Amaravati: Minister for Human Resources Development Ganta Srinivasa Rao has said there would be no changes in APTET schedule and the test would be conducted between February 21 and March 3. The Minister also directed the officials to give another chance to the candidates to get preferences for examination centres.
Addressing a review meeting with officials on APTET here on Thursday, the Minister lashed out at the officials for their negligence in allotting examination centres to the candidates and for creating confusion among the aspirants. According to him, 15,605 candidates were given test centres outside the state.
Officials explained that 9,518 candidates of them have already approached to give fresh options for test centres within the state. They also said 4,46,833 candidates have been allotted test centres so far.
Minister directed the officials to provide basic facilities at examination centres and conduct trail run before conducting the online exam. The department arranged 183 examination centres and 24 of them were allotted in outside the state. About 52,000 candidates will attend the test per day and 25,000 candidates will attend for each session.
