9 arrested in murder case

Nellore: Chillakur cops have arrested nine persons in a murder case and seized two auto rickshaws, one motorcycle, two knives and other materials from them.

The accused were identified as M Venkateswarlu, G Sreenu, K Rajesh, Ch Subrahmanyam, Ch Siva, T Ankaiah, O Krishna, G Chakri, and A Parvathaiah. Gudur DSP V S Rambabu disclosed the case details at his chamber in Gudur on Thursday.

The DSP said the accused M Venkateswarlu and Malli Sanyasaiah were brothers. Sanyasaiah had attacked Venkateswarlu and also his wife, children in the agriculture fields and fled away from the scene.

Venkateswarlu along with 8 others hatched a murder plan and attacked Sanyasaiah with lethal weapons and killed him on February 8 on the outskirts of Kammavaripalem under Chillakur mandal.

Chillakur police have filed a case and took up investigation. They nabbed 9 accused in the case. Gudur rural Circle Inspector P Akkeswar Rao and others were present.
