Miscreants inflict severe injuries on govt teacher

Kurnool: A government school teacher was critically injured when six unidentified persons attacked him with iron rods at Kasturinagar here on Thursday. He was immediately rushed to Kurnool General Hospital where he is presently undergoing treatment.

Fourth-Town Circle Inspector M Ramaiah Naidu, while briefing the details of the incident to the media, said that the victim, T Sai Baba was 
working as a secondary grade teacher at Municipal Upper Primary School situated in Kasturinagar. 

He was attacked by six unidentified persons with iron rods while he was about to enter the school, the CI stated. In the attack, he suffered severe injuries on hand, head and neck and he was rushed to general hospital for treatment. On receiving information, the cops went to the hospital and recorded his statement. 

According to his statement, he suspected that two persons, Sudhakar Reddy, who is working as Superintendent in the office of the DEO, and APNGO President Vengal Reddy were behind his attack. Ramaiah Naidu said that they filed a case and took up investigation. A hunt was launched to nab the assailants, he added.
