Vigilance officials arrest two fake doctors
This ‘doctor’, who was conducting even critical and complicated surgeries in his clinic, is not an MBBS. What more, he hasn’t even cleared his intermediate examination. But, he has been posing as a doctor for the past 25 years.
The story does not end there. Even his son is a doctor without basic minimum qualification.
The vigilance officials were surprised to find that one Narahari Reddy has been running a clinic in Yemmiganur town of Kurnool district for the past 25 years. They used a decoy to trap the doctors.
The officials posed as patients and after a week of tests and investigations, the ‘doctor’ told them that a surgery was a must. It was then that he and his son Srinivas Reddy were arrested. Fake doctors and quack doctors are a major problem in the rural areas of both the Telugu states.
