Real estate agent found dead
Kurnool: A realtor was suspiciously found dead on Kurnool city outskirts on Friday morning. The deceased was identified as P Haneef Khan (52), native of Nandikotkur town and a real estate agent. According to the information given by the police, he came to Kurnool city a week days ago from Nandikotkur to seek alliance to his daughter.
After he left the house, he did not return home. When his family members tried to contact him, his phone was not reachable to find his whereabouts. Suspecting foul play, the family members lodged a complaint with the Nandikotkur police and the latter registered a missing case on February 9.
The police were searching for the missing person. In the meantime, some persons noticed a person lying on the bank of Handri Neeva Canal near Safa Engineering College.
They informed the Kurnool police, who in turn passed on the information to Nandikotkur police. The police, accompanied by the complainants, rushed to the spot and recognised that the deceased was Haneef Khan.
The police said that the deceased was doing real estate business and some splits might have erupted between business partners that might have led to his killing. However, a case of suspect murder has been filed altering from the missing case.
Police took up investigation. The body was shifted to Kurnool General Hospital for autopsy and later it was handed over to the family members. The deceased is survived by wife, mother and three children.
