The BJP on Saturday asked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the Telugu Desam Government to explain what it did with the Rs 16000 crore given by the Central Government. In a tirade on the Telugu Desam, which is trying to argue that the Centre has meted a raw deal to the State, BJP MLC Somu Veerraju dared Chandrababu Naidu to explain as to what amounts are pending with the Centre. He said the Centre has given more than the rightful share to Andhra Pradesh and Chandrababu Naidu had time and again said that he was happy with the allocations.

He said the TDP was afraid that the BJP would become a powerful political force in Andhra Pradesh and was hence trying to launch a vilification campaign. He said that there was time till 2022 for the implementation of the AP Bifurcation Act and that 60 per cent of the works have already been completed. He alleged that Rs 16000 crore given by the Centre were diverted to pay the loan waiver amounts. He said that the TDP has ignored the development and is now trying to blame the Centre He said while the Centre has allocated Rs 1050 crore for the industrial incentives in the state, not a single industry was given money in the state.
