The meeting will discuss several important issues like Centre’s fund allocation to the State, alliance with Telugu Desam Party and political atmosphere in the State.

The presidents and secretaries of 13 district units of the BJP along with State party president K Haribabu, national general secretary V Satish, Ministers in State Cabinet Kamineni Srinivas, G Manikyala Rao, other leaders D Purandeswari, K Lakshminarayana, MP Gokaraju Gangaraju and office-bearers will attend the meeting.

The meeting assumes significance as different political parties including the TDP have been expressing ire over the BJP for the poor allocations to AP in the Union Budget.
In this backdrop, now the State BJP leadership is likely to announce future course of action.

Already the national leadership has given clear instructions to the State BJP to interact with people and explain the stand of the Central government and fund allocations.

BJP State president K Haribabu has already released papers with details of funds allocation to the State by the Centre. However, the Opposition parties have been continuing their tirade against the BJP-led NDA government for neglecting the State in budgetary allocations.

The leaders of the BJP admit the fact that there is some negative political atmosphere against them in the state due to the ongoing campaign by opposition parties and non-political organisations.

The State BJP has decided to meet and discuss all these issues in the meeting. The party leaders have already started a campaign on the assistance provided by the Centre including the sanction of 5 lakh houses to the State. Now they plan to meet the people to explain the details of Centre’s allocations. The meeting is likely to decide the tour programmes of the BJP leaders to meet people across the State.

BJP State general secretary J Shyam Kishore speaking to The Hans India, said that already the State party formally took a decision to meet people at the grass-root level. He said that the national leadership told the state leaders to explain the Centre’s stand on fund allocations.
