2,000 delegates likely to take part in Partnership Summit

Visakhapatnam: The district authorities are making elaborate arrangements for hosting the three days third Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit to be held in the city from February 24.

Speaking to media after conducting a review meeting with concerned officials at Zill Parishad meeting hall on Tuesday, District Collector Pravin Kumar said the 3rd International Partnership Summit in the city will be held with a theme, ‘India’s global integration strategy with particular reference to Andhra Pradesh.’

Stating the city had hosted two International summits in the past successfully, he said Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Central and State ministers including 2,000 foreign delegates from Gulf, Europe and the US besides the Asian countries would participate in the summit.

He also advised the officials to make event a grand success. Th collector asked the officials to promote the district favourable for investors and entrepreneurs to set up their business ventures.

He also added that liaison officers will be appointed to help the foreign delegates from airport to hotel rooms. All the officials should maintain discipline and follow formal dress code, he stated.

Talking on the occasion, DCP Fakeerappa said that 3,000 CC cameras were arranged for the summit especially 78 CC cameras with 800 police personnel would be deployed at the venue. Special security teams at seven check posts with 2,500 police security in the city will maintain law and order during the three days summit.
