CM will protect interests of state: Dy CM
Visakhapatnam: Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa on Tuesday said that the TDP government and party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu is ready to do anything for interests of the state. Speaking to media after conducting a meeting with local MLAs, MLCs and party rank and file here on Tuesday, he advised the leaders to be patient and did not make any counter remarks to the allegations made by BJP leaders.
The welfare programmes introduced in the last four years by the state government should be taken to public, he said and added if the TDP leaders want to comment on BJP leaders then they should demand for special package and funds for backward district but not raise their voice for special category status for the state.
As Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan had already announced that he will gather enough number of MPs for no-confidence motion against the Central government, the YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has to prove his commitment. Chinarajappa also suggested the BJP leaders not to resort to criticism on TDP leaders.
Later Chinarajappa along with South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar visited the relay hunger strike at the Fishing Harbour Gate conducted by fishermen to include them in ST category.
Chinarajappa assured the fishermen that he would take up their issue to the notice of Chief Minister in the ensuing budget meeting. With the assurance of Deputy Chief Minister, the fishermen community leaders from four districts and ST Sadhana Samiti (STSS) leaders had called off their 56 days strike on Tuesday.
