Iran diplomats visit GITAM

Visakhapatnam: Top officials from embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran visited GITAM Deemed University here on Tuesday to strengthen the academic relations with GITAM. 

Iran Embassy Science, Research & Technology India & Subcontinent Research Counselor Prof S Mohammad Reza Khalili, Seyed Mohammad Hadi Torabi, Javedan and others visited various engineering and science departments and appreciated the infrastructural facilities.

While interacting with the Iran embassy officials GITAM Vice-Chancellor Prof M S Prasada Rao briefed about the admission process and ongoing research activities. He informed that the university is listed in Times World Rankings and received NAAC A+ grade which is highest recognition among deemed universities in India.

Iran Research Counselor Prof S Mohammad Reza Khalili said that around 4,000 Iran students are coming to India every year to pursue higher education in Indian universities. He mentioned that GITAM is one of the best destinations in South India for their students to study technology related courses. 

GITAM Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof K Sivarama Krishna, Registrar Prof M Potharaju, International Students Wing Director K P Kishan and others participated in the meeting.
