Kshatriyas elect new community panel

Chittoor: A meeting of Kshatriyas (Atmeeya Sammelan) of Rayalaseema region was held at Tirumanyam Rajula Kandriga in Vadamalapeta mandal of the district on Tuesday under the aegis of the group committed for unity among the Kshatriyas titled KING. 

Speakers at the meeting called for setting up of an exclusive corporation for Kshatriyas on the lines of various corporations set up for different communities.

They demanded the state government to announce observing the birth anniversary of revolutionary leader Alluri Sitaramaraju as Kshatriya Divas. Later, executive of the association for the region was elected unanimously. Somalaraju Ravindraraju was elected as president.  

Other office-bearers are: vice-president-K Anantaraju (Rajampet), secretary-Dommaraju Amarnath Varma (Puttur) and treasurer-Konduru Radhakrishnamaraju (Tirupati). Several have congratulated the new executive body. 

Prominent among, who were present on the occasion were Muppalla Sai Kumari, Dasanam Prasada Raju, Uma Shankar Raju, Purushottam Raju, Ashokaraju, Balaji Raju, Ramachandra Raju, Tulasirama Raju, Chengalraju, Ramesh Raju and Suresh Raju.
