Tirupati to get family entertainment centre
Tirupati: The state cabinet on Wednesday gave its nod to TUDA Vice-Chairman to allot 3.72 acres to SPI Cinemas Private Limited to establish a family entertainment centre.
The land will be given to the developer under lease agreement for 33 years. Developer has to pay Rs 3.26 crore in the first year which will be increased by five per cent every year. Total project cost would be Rs 25 crore which has to be completed in two years and will be taken up under PPP mode.
The family entertainment centre will have a convention centre in 23,000 square feet along with food courts, commercial complex, six multiplex screens and 3 three-star hotels. The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation will bear the initial expenditure and take it up as a tourism project.
