YSRCP flays CM over Durga temple flyover delay
Vijayawada: YSRCP MLA and senior party leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy came down heavily on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the slow progress of Kanaka Durga temple flyover construction works in Vijayawada.
Ramachandra Reddy along with other party leaders Kolusu Parthasarathy, Malladi Vishnu, Velampalli Srnivas, Samineni Udayabhanu, VMC YSRCP floor leader B Punyaseela and others inspected the flyover construction works at Kummaripalem on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said the Chief Minister had visited many capitals in the world and assured people of Andhra Pradesh that he would construct a world-class capital. But he could not complete construction of a flyover in Vijayawada to resolve the traffic problem in the city, he pointed out.
He said a large number of people had been suffering for more than three years due to slow progress of the flyover works. He said people are passing through Chittinagar tunnel and it takes 45 minutes to reach Gollapudi from two town.
Peddireddy said people of the State had elected Chandrababu Naidu with lot of hopes that he would develop Andhra Pradesh and Vijayawada city but Naidu has not been able to construct a flyover in Vijayawada.
He lamented over the slow progress of works saying that only less than 50 per cent works have been completed so far. He pointed out that the government had earlier planned to complete the works before Krishna Pushkaralu in August 2016.
Ramachandra Reddy said Kanaka Durga flyover works would be completed by the YSRCP after the next Assembly elections and Jaganmohan Reddy would inaugurate the flyover.
