Vijayawada: BJP Yuva Morcha state president S Vishnuvardhan Reddy said the BJP was ready for an open debate with TDP leaders and the Opposition parties on the sanction of funds to the state as per the AP Reorganisation Act.

He said the BJP was committed to the development of the state and would release funds as per the assurances made. Addressing media at party state office here on Thursday,  Vishnuvardhan Reddy alleged that some TDP leaders like Galla Jayadev and M Murali Mohan live in Hyderabad but shed tears about the development of Andhra Pradesh.

He asked the TDP leaders, particularly the MPs, to shift their families to either coastal Andhra or Rayalaseema districts instead of clinging on to Hyderabad.

He also asked leaders like N Raghuveera Reddy of Congress and the Vibhajana Hameela Sadhana Samiti chairman Chalasani Srinivas, to first shift their families from Hyderabad to Vijayawada before criticizing the BJP on allocation of grants to the state or Special Category Status.

In contrast, Vishnuvardhan Reddy pointed out that BJP leaders of Andhra Pradesh live in the state itself. Denying reports that BJP activists had attacked film actor Sivaji in Vijayawada, the Yuva Morcha leader said the actor was levelling false allegations against the BJP activists alleging attack by them while he was taking part in a TV debate in Vijayawada a couple of days ago.

The Yuva Morcha leader said the BJP leaders were ready for an open debate at any place and at any time in the state and asked the TDP leaders to come forward for the same.
