Farmers plan stir in Delhi on March 24

Vijayawada: Representatives of farmers’ associations from across Andhra Pradesh met under the chairmanship of former minister Vadde Sobhanadreswara Rao here on Thursday to chalk out an action plan to make the agitation taken up by social activist Anna Hazare a grand success on March 24 at New Delhi.

Vadde Sobhanadreswara Rao said the agitation was in support of distressed farming community. “There are 190 farmers’ associations in the country and they will arrive at nation’s capital to express their anguish under the current NDA rule. The budget offered nothing for the farmers as there was no significant increase in allocations.
