Leadership qualities vital in solving problems

Visakhapatnam: Chief Executive Officer of Gangavaram Port Limited and former DGP N Samabasiva Rao said that positive thinking and leadership qualities would solve all the problems. He said that during his three decades long policing, he solved several important cases. Positive thinking would play a vital role very particularly in the managerial issues, he pointed out.

Visakhapatnam Management Association (VMA), a branch of All India Management Association (AIMA), organised AIMA’s 62nd Foundation Day and 12th National Management Day celebrations with a panel discussion on ‘Leadership in the age of disruption’ in collaboration with Department of Commerce and Management Studies, Andhra University, on Thursday.

Participating as one of the panel speakers, Sambasiva Rao said that all levels at all places, people never accepted the change for several reasons. Open mind and positive attitude are important while handling the management level issues, he said. Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University G Nageswara Rao spoke about the need of right leadership in the present-day crisis at national and international level.

President of VMA and Professor of Department of Commerce and Managements Studies (DCMS) of Andhra University N Sambasiva Rao presided over the programme.  On the occasion, he explained the importance of AIMA and its activities. Head of DCMS of Andhra University Prof G Satyanarayana explained about the department and its activities. Prof K Rama Mohan Rao, Principal, College of Arts and Commerce, Andhra University spoke the relevance of leadership.
