TDP charges against YS Jagan baseless: YSRCP

Update: 2018-02-23 23:22 IST

Hyderabad: Slamming Chandrababu Naidu and TDP leaders for their sustained negative campaign against Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as a cover up bid to wriggle out from the heat generated by the growing demand for Special Category Status (SCS), YSR Congress has said that it was the Chief Minister who has been berating the country abroad.

There is no truth in the vicious statements that a Mauritius company has named YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the petition to the International Court of Justice(ICJ) for arbitration and this was an attempt only to divert the attention from the SCS heat, party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here on Friday.

As Chandrababu Naidu and his team are unable to politically face YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, they are resorting to such cheap politicking while the fact remains that Mauritius Government on behalf of Carissa Investments LLC has moved the ICJ to arbitrate in the InduTech Zone in which the its Company has invested and the project has been in a legal tangle.

This has been distorted and the TDP has been flashing concocted versions in the media that the Mauritius Government in its petition for arbitration has named YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and started attributing motives.

It was Chandrababu Naidu who had on various occasions brought a bad name to the country through his words and deeds and letter from Japans Premier stands a testimony for it, she said.

While YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been bringing awareness among the youth on SCS, Chandrababu Naidu has been trying to scare the people away by threatening youngsters with arrests and jails, she said.

We strongly condemn the malicious campaign by Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders who are levelling baseless allegations that the Mauritius Company has moved the International Court taking YS Jagan Mohan Reddys name and seeking arbitration, she said.
