AP State to launch e-Pragati from April
Amaravati: State government is going to start e-Pragati web portal to offer services of all departments at one platform as part of its slogan that invisible government and visible governance.
The government is working to bring the service available to citizens by beginning of April. Under the e-Pragati programme, services of 33 departments will be digitalised and separate apps will be developed department-wise to offer the digital services to the citizens. All the apps will be put on e-Pragati platform.
The development of apps is under process with the cooperation of Earnest and Young Company. ``All the apps will be placed on the e-Pragati platform. Besides, the government will supply around 1,000 kiosks to villages. Each village can be given one kiosk with internet connection and printer facility. People can get prints of certificates by using the kiosk,” AP College Education Academic Guidance officer Illa Ravi told The Hans India.
He points out that people need not go to visit government offices for various services and just they can apply for the services through online from their home on e-Pragati platform. As part of the e-Pragati initiative, 96 officers of 33 departments have been given six month training. They will be instrumental in implementing the e-Pragati project in their respective departments.
During the certificates presentation programme on Friday, Chief Minister appreciated a woman employee V Renuka, who participated in the programme though she was pregnant. Chief Minister named her girl child as “Eswari Pragthi” (e-pragathi) amid applause of officers and Ministers.
