AP aims high on doing business at Partnership Summit
Amaravati: A day ahead of the commencement of the third edition of the Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh claims that the single desk portal (single window for the clearance of industries) has given 27,000 approvals so far and its performance is close to 100 per cent in granting approvals with the service level agreement (the time specified to decide on an application or a clearance) in the last three months.
The performance of the SDP comes as a shot in the arm for Andhra Pradesh as it helped the state to stay atop in the ease of doing business rankings for a long time.
The near 100 per cent decisions made within SLA by the SDP is due to the finetuning of the portal over a period of time to provide ease of doing business, Industries’ Commissioner Siddharth Jain said in a statement on Friday.
The SDP focused on clearing the bottlenecks for micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, he said after reviewing the performance of the SDB through a teleconference on Friday. Till date the establishments cleared by SDP, committed to create 4,62,313 employment opportunities with committed investments of Rs 4.3 lakh crore.
The SDP, a state of art system, provides all approvals required for setting up an industry in the state. It allows online application filing for pre-establishment and pre-operations clearances, the submissions of documents online will also allow the users to track applications status online.
The system has been recognized as best practice for the ease of doing business by DIPP. All the approvals on single desk portal are given within 21 days.
The pre-establishment clearances offered through the SDP are sanction or release of power supply, approval for electrical drawings, building or site approval from the Urban Development authorities and panchayats, approval for water supply, permission to draw water from public water resources, factory plan approval, NOC from the Fire department, registration for GST, consent for category (Green, Orange or Red), approval for change of land use for industrial purpose, registration of partnership firms, license for manufacture of bulk drugs, license for manufacture of ayurvedic, homeo, siddha and unani.
Apart from the regulatory clearances, the single desk portal of Andhra Pradesh also provides various incentives to the establishments in the state which is completely online without having any physical touch point with the Investor.
The state government has disbursed more than Rs 4000 crore as part of Incentives disbursements for the MSME, large and mega industrial establishments across the state in the last two and half years, Siddharth Jain said.
