Rayalaseema registers high temperatures
Hyderabad: The Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh continued to be hot on Friday with Kurnool recording the day’s highest maximum temperature of 36 degrees while Anantapur, Nandigama, Kadapa and Nandyal had a high of 35 degrees Celsius, along with Jangamaheswarapuram and Visakhapatnam Airport.
According to Met department bulletin, the other day temperatures recorded in the state were: Ongole, Tuni, Vijayawada & Tirupati 34 each, Bapatla, Kakinada, Kalingapatnam Machilipatnam, Arogyavaram & Nellore 33 each, Kavali, Narsapur & Visakhapatnam 32 each.
The bulletin stated that dry weather prevailed in Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra districts on Friday. The lowest minimum temperature of 16 degrees Celsius was recorded in Arogyavaram.
The night temperatures in the state were normal at many places, below normal by 1.6 to 3 degrees Celsius at one or two places and appreciably below normal ranging from 3.10 to 5 degrees Celsius at one or two places.
